What is The Harvard Opinion?

The Harvard Opinion is a news & op-ed platform for dissenting voices from the campus of Harvard University. While Harvard University has several “official” and “endorsed” outlets for student journalists, such as The Crimson, none support dissenting student voices, and most are highly edited mouthpieces for promoting the University itself. The Harvard Opinion’s stated goal is to provide a fair, unbiased platform for student voices that official channels would otherwise silence.

Harvard University vs. The Harvard Opinion

Harvard University has, in the past, made several attempts to silence The Harvard Opinion. The administration at Harvard University has convinced Twitter to permanently ban @HarvardOpinion, made several attempts to seize our domain harvardopinion.com, and has attempted to identify the students running The Harvard Opinion for targeted harassment campaigns. Many students at Harvard University subsequently drank the grape Flavor Aid and piled on top of the University’s already dogged pursuit of the “dangerous minds” behind The Harvard Opinion.

Staff of The Harvard Opinion maintain the necessity of The Harvard Opinion is exemplified by the targeted harassment campaigns meant to shut down the publication.
