Hello dear reader,
Too much time has passed since The Harvard Opinion was last shut down. Three months into quarantine, lawyers from Harvard University contacted GoDaddy, our previous domain registrar, and attempted to seize our domain in their battle against one of their (presumably many) sworn nemeses: a fledgling student newspaper with thirty Twitter followers.
What was the crime, you may ask? The same of Harvard alumnus Steve Jobs: we dared to Think Different™.
Since the founding of The Harvard Opinion in 2018, Harvard University has stopped at nothing to shut down our humble publication. The editorial board of The Opinion admit we have taken many “Ls” on this journey — several suspended Twitter accounts, a battle to recover a seized domain, and a targeted harassment campaign across Harvard campus. Despite these setbacks, we have never stopped fighting. We fight for you, the reader, and we fight for the truth. With God on our side, we will always prevail.
For now, we’re back. Substack has The Harvard Opinion has once again made its return. Let the good times roll! Rejoice, dear reader, as The Harvard Opinion has once again made its return.
Subscribe to our Substack and Semper Fidelis.
Sincerely,
The Harvard Opinion
